Ducati has unveiled in Europe a special limited edition Formula 73, a tribute to the legendary 750 Supersport Desmo, an iconic bike in the brand's history. Limited to just 873 units worldwide, this model combines the passionate style of the 1970s with the latest technology. The Japanese launch schedule has not yet been announced, but we look forward to the arrival of this fresh retro sports car.
The quintessence of a café racer revived in silver and aqua green brilliance
The Ducati Formula 73 is a modern interpretation of the "1973 750 Supersport Desmo" that established the brand's golden era. The silver and aqua green color scheme that forms the core of the styling is the result of close research in the historical archives, and the color scheme has been faithfully reproduced in its original tones. The gold vertical stripe on the fuel tank is reminiscent of the unpainted windows once used by Imola racers to check the amount of fuel remaining. The slim body lines are aesthetically elegant and suggest an agile ride. The bar-end mirrors on the clip-on handlebars and the shortened fairing add to its unique character. The attention to detail is also evident in the Rizoma fuel cap and billet aluminum levers, which add to the quality feel. The serial number is engraved on the steering plate, maximizing the pleasure of ownership. In addition to the official certificate of authenticity, the buyer will receive a special collector's box containing images from the period.
