Lightweight resin arm with just the right flexibility to avoid resonance!

An ACTIVE original brake lever guard to avoid unintended brake lever input due to contact with other bikes during road races is available. In recent years, it is often mandatory to install lever guards when participating in races, and an increasing number of riders are installing them for the street as well, to dress up their bikes.

The arm part of a lever guard can be made of resin or metal, but ACTIVE has chosen the resin type because it is lightweight, does not resonate easily, and is reasonably priced for repair. Made of PBT resin, it has moderate flexibility and folds when a certain amount of load is applied, thus preventing accidents where unintended lever input is caused by the arm deforming upon contact. The end part is machined from aluminum, with a choice of six anodized colors. It also comes with a bar end for the clutch side, so the design and color of the left and right handlebar ends can match.

The set includes a lever guard on the brake side and an aluminum alloy bar end on the clutch side which matches the design of this bar end. Repair parts are available for even the smallest part, so that the cost can be kept to a minimum in case of partial damage or changing to a new bike.

The top photo shows how the guard is mounted for a hollow handlebar. As shown in the lower photo, the arm part is attached with bolts and can be easily replaced in case of damage (the arm part alone costs just 2,200 JPY).

The full set includes all the parts necessary for mounting. There are two types: one for hollow handlebars (pictured) and one for bolt attachment, each accommodating a wide range of handlebar and bolt diameters.
