Obsessed with KAWASAKI customs

First enjoy a few photos.

These gorgeous bikes are from BULL DOCK, a motorcycle customization and tuning shop with a focus on the Kawasaki Z series. Of course, they also make aftermarket parts for HONDA, YAMAHA, and SUZUKI bikes, but if you mention this brand to a Japanese rider, the first thing they'll associate it with will be KAWASAKI customs.

I am not sure why but it seems that many long-standing manufacturers customize classic KAWASAKI bikes, and most of them became famous because of this. This may be an interesting phenomenon of Japanese motorcyle culture.

GT-M

GT-M (Genuine Tuning Machine) is the name given to complete machines designed by BULL DOCK. Each GT-M is created based on their deep knowledge of classic bikes and high-precision technology, and is built according to the individual customer's requests. Each customer has different tastes and ideas about customization, and different budgets too. In order to meet each customer's needs to the maximum extent possible, BULL DOCK takes into consideration the customer's desired ride quality and style.

GT-M is synonymous with BULL DOCK, breaking the mold of classic bikes and embodying their concept of "the ultimate customization". No two GT-Ms are alike, as they are fully custom-made to meet the needs of each individual customer, and that quality is certified by the GT-M serial number. A serial number plate is attached to every GT-M, and each and every bike is registered individually. Owners can also take advantage of BULL DOCK's complete after-sales service system.

Fully Equipped Factory

BULL DOCK Factory is one of the largest and most well-equipped custom shops in Japan, and they do almost all of their work in-house, including machining. They also offer a wide range of services including customization, restoration, repair, and vehicle inspection, mainly for Kawasaki Z models.

For engines, they perform tuning and overhauls based on the philosophy of creating “engines that can be used comfortably for a long time.” While it is common for custom shops to outsource engine processing to specialized factories, BULL DOCK has introduced special machining tools such as a “Vertical Boring Mill (YZ)” and a “Precision Valve Seat Refacer,” and processing is carried out by skilled craftsmen. While it may take a bit of time, by handling all processes from machining to assembly in-house, they can ensure that the engine is delivered in a trouble-free condition.

Products

Win Mccoy Exhausts

Win Mccoy Neo

The Win Mccoy NEO racing silencer is the result of BULL DOCK's unique know-how and technology, cultivated over many years of working with classic bikes. It delivers smooth acceleration and maximizes engine power, while also offering a sporty style, sound quality, and form that embodies the BULL DOCK spirit.

Win Mccoy Z

BULL DOCK has always had a penchant for the Z, and not satisfied with the aftermarket exhausts already available they set out to create the ideal exhaust, repeating trial and error during development to create the ultimate exhaust system, the “Win Mccoy.” The aspect they put the most work into is the deep, rich bass sound that is designed to satisfy Z enthusiasts without causing any stress while riding. With its beautiful finish down to the finest details and performance refined to the utmost, this is a “Z-exclusive exhaust” crafted without compromise in any aspect.

LAVORANTE WHEELS

The Lavorante is a lightweight wheel that excels in performance, safety, and design. Manufactured using a forging process, the Lavorante is lightweight yet sturdy, offering many advantages in terms of maneuverability, acceleration, braking, and fuel efficiency.

JWL Certification

Lavorante wheels boast high reliability. They conform to JWL, the safety standard for light alloy wheels in Japan, and with the manufacturer's own in-house standards added on top of that, accuracy and safety are increased even further.

Spoke Design

Spokes are very important in wheel design as they increase maneuvering rigidity and absorb shock from the road surface. The spokes of Lavorante wheels are carefully designed in terms of cross-section, thickness, and number to achieve a good balance without compromising any performance characteristics.

Design & Analysis

Design and analysis are carried out using 3D CAD and analysis software. This process is repeated in order to optimize every factor, including the engineer's intended design, processing methods, weight reduction, strength, and elasticity. Uncompromising design and unwavering reliability. This is the first step in wheel manufacturing.

Weight Reduction

Reducing the weight of the rim directly leads to a reduction in rotational weight, which in turn reduces the gyroscopic effect. This is an important factor that affects the bike's dynamic performance. Lavorante rims are not only light, but also durable enough for practical use thanks to their varying rim thickness and rib configuration. The front hub uses an attachment method where the inside of the hub, which is generally difficult for machining tools to reach, is machined to a lightweight specification.
