The 2026 model will be available in two color schemes: Deep Purple Blue Metallic C and Blueish White Pearl 1, a "70th Anniversary Edition" to commemorate Yamaha Motor's 70th anniversary in 2025. Deep Purplish Blue Metallic C is a blue color that emphasizes the Yamaha racing image common to the 2026 YZF-R series. The cyan line below the model's logo on the body side accentuates the model's shape.

The "70th Anniversary Edition" (Blueish White Pearl 1) represents Yamaha Motor's history of racing since its founding in 1955, and is the same color that was applied to Yamaha's first 250cc world champion machine, the "RD56," in 1964. The color is inspired by the "red line on white" cowl of the RD56, Yamaha's first 250cc World Champion machine in 1964. The "70th Anniversary Edition" will go on sale on January 30 in a limited edition of 200 units for 1,595,000 yen, while the "Deep Purple Blue Metallic C" will go on sale on May 15 in a planned 600 units for 1,496,000 yen. The price of the latter remains unchanged from the 2025 model year.
