At the Osaka Motorcycle Show, Magical Racing unveiled its new winglet-equipped YZF-R7 for the first time. It looks like a YZR-M1 that could be competing in the MotoGP.
Unveiling of new "Lightning" turn signals!
Magical Racing's YZF-R7 Custom showed up with large winglets on. Wings are known to be installed on MotoGP racers to avoid wheelies that occur due to their strong power, and in recent years, 1000cc class supersport models have also begun to use them. It has been announced that these winglets will be on sale soon as aftermarket parts for the R7, and a version with built-in turn signals on the tips will also be available. The MotoGP look is sure to be a hot topic of conversation. In addition, a new "Lightning" model mirror with built-in LED turn signals on the brackets has also been developed. This is an advanced version of Magical Racing's conventional racer replica mirror. It is available in six different head types with brackets that have four LED blinkers built in, and is compatible with cowl-mounted models. Rearward visibility is now easier to set with three angle adjustment points. The carbon lineup includes plain-weave and twill-weave types.
■YZF-R7 Kai [MAGICAL RACING] This bike sporting the new winglets and Lightning mirrors as well as some already released parts was unveiled. It looks like a YZR-M1 for the streets.
■The YZF-R7 exclusive winglets will be available soon, and are composed of three-dimensional curves. This shape generates downforce while reducing aerodynamic drag.
■A built-in turn signal type will also be available for these YZF-R7 exclusive winglets. Pricing has not yet been determined for either this or the standard type.
■The "Lighting" model carbon mirrors with built-in turn signals are equipped here. This is the twill-weave carbon type with type 2 heads. The carbon trim windshield also pictured ranges from 34,100 to 51,700 JPY.
■The cowl mount fitting plates for the Lightning are available in 2 colors x 3 types and can accommodate mounting pitches from 27 to 60mm.
■The mirror part, called the "head," is available in types 1 through 6, with the plain-weave carbon version selling for 106,700 JPY and the twill-weave carbon version selling for 108,900 JPY.
■The front fender has an integrated fork guard and the price ranges from 27,500 to 41,800 JPY. The caliper cooling ducts range from 26,400 to 45,100 JPY.
■The fender eliminator kit uses the stock turn signals, includes license plate lights and ranges in price from 22,000 to 33,000 JPY.
■This upper cowl with built-in LED turn signals for the MT-09/SP (74,800 - 95,700 JPY) was also unveiled at the Osaka Motorcycle Show.
