Here is a "KAWASAKI Z900RS CAFE" custom by Webike community user "You2". Wearing a classic Kawasaki vintage color scheme but with a bold cafe-style twist, the Z900RS CAFE instantly captivated the owner. With its retro-cool looks reminiscent of the legendary Z1/Z2, it’s a bike that never gets old—whether admiring it or riding it. Despite being a 900cc machine weighing in at 217 kg, it feels surprisingly light, almost like a 400cc bike. Still, the owner was eager to shed even more weight, replacing the stock exhaust with a DOREMI COLLECTION short pipe full exhaust, which also enhanced both performance and appearance. He’s also satisfied with how the lower section of the bike is coming together in black.

One commonly mentioned downside of the Z900RS CAFE is its lack of storage space, not even enough for basic documents. The owner, facing this same issue, installed a DEGNER tank bag and side bags. The KIJIMA fender eliminator kit had shifted the rear turn signals slightly back, so fitting the side bags was a tight squeeze, but he managed. While the bags may not perfectly match the retro-sport vibe, the added practicality makes up for it. That said, there is one drawback: the side bag placement leaves the passenger foot pegs almost unusable, making pillion riding nearly impossible. It’s something the owner regrets.

The stock CAFE seat is 2 cm higher and more padded than the stock RS seat, which initially made the owner nervous about reaching the ground. Recently, he replaced it with a Kawasaki Z900RS seat and added BEET lowering link plates to further drop the ride height, resulting in a comfortable, confident reach to the ground that erased any lingering concerns.

With so many available aftermarket parts, the fun doesn't stop after buying the bike. The owner says it’s a joy to ride and a joy to customize. These days, he finds happiness just thinking about what to modify next.
