New "Compact Cool Kit" oil cooler kit for the MONKEY125 (JB03 series) from SP TAKEGAWA!

Totally different look!

A new oil cooler kit is now available that can give the popular MONKEY125 the same style as past Monkey customs. The stock MONKEY125 has a very large air cleaner box, which doesn't give off the same light and nimble feeling that the older Monkey bikes had. In addition to the fact that it is quite large, the fact that the other side cannot be seen through the engine area when viewed from the side is probably a major factor. This new oil cooler kit is designed to also require an air filter kit, which makes the bike look much lighter. This by itself makes the bike feel a bit empty, but by mounting the oil cooler core where the air cleaner box used to be, the custom look can be greatly improved.

Of course, as it's meant to, it keeps the rise in oil temperature down, making it a good addition in the summer or after a big bore modification. The filter cover is equipped with an oil relief valve mechanism that releases oil pressure when excessive pressure is applied, and the built-in powerful neodymium magnet collects iron dust. The material of the oil hose that runs next to the engine is selectable, so you can choose whether you want to focus on price, weight reduction, or appearance. If you choose the number of oil cooler core levels according to your future engine tuning plans, you will not have to replace it later.

Mounting Method

The stock air cleaner box and connecting tube are removed, and the SP TAKEGAWA air filter kit is installed directly to the throttle body. The oil cooler itself is attached under the frame with the included oil cooler bracket installed in the space where the stock air cleaner box was removed. This allows for the same style as previous generation custom Monkey models.

Oil Cooler Routing

Oil can be taken out to the oil cooler by attaching the oil cooler unit included in the kit to the oil filter section on the stock clutch cover. A special oil filter that can be used even when the oil cooler unit is installed is included in the kit, so oil can be taken out without compromising the oil filter function. In addition to the hydraulic relief valve mechanism in the filter cover, a neodymium magnet is installed to attract iron powder mixed in the engine oil. For connection from the oil outlet to the oil cooler body, you can choose from rubber hose, braided hose #4, or SlimLine hose.

Oil Cooler Body

The oil cooler body uses Compact Cool for an excellent cooling effect. The number of levels of the body can be selected from 4 fins and 5 oil lines or 3 fins and 4 oil lines. An oil cooler plate and guard are also included as standard.

Other

Can be installed at the same time as the stock exhaust or any exhaust from SP TAKEGAWA, as well as the SP TAKEGAWA steering damper set.
For the amount of oil, it is necessary to add approx. 60cc (for 4 fins) / 40cc (for 3 fins) to the normal prescribed amount.
