Jett Lawrence Ascends to Championship Lead with Dominant Performance

At the third round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship held at Thunder Valley, Jett Lawrence of Honda HRC Progressive clinched victory in both motos of the 450 class, marking his fourth consecutive overall win in the premier class. Piloting the CRF450RWE, Jett secured the holeshot in both motos and maintained a flawless race, never relinquishing the lead. He demonstrated remarkable composure and adaptability, overcoming the pressure from rivals, including his brother Hunter, despite a recovering ankle injury.

This victory propelled Jett to the top of the championship standings, overtaking his brother Hunter. Jett's impressive win rate continues to shine, with a remarkable record of only missing the overall podium in 4 out of 30 premier class races at Thunder Valley.

Meanwhile, Hunter Lawrence also showed strong form, recording the top qualifying time. He achieved strong starts in both motos, battling at the front from the outset. Despite a fall, he fought back to secure a 4-4 moto finish for third overall. He currently sits second in the championship standings, just 8 points behind Jett.

Jo Shimoda Overcomes Adversity for First 250 Class Victory!

In the 250 class, Jo Shimoda delivered a consistent performance to secure his first overall victory of the season. After starting in 13th position in Moto 1 and experiencing an early crash, he maintained his composure, steadily moving up through the field to finish in third place. In Moto 2, he climbed into podium contention from a seventh-place start, ultimately passing Ryder DiFrancesco to solidify his result.

This win elevates Shimoda to third in the championship standings, closing the gap to the leader to just 6 points. Team Manager Lars Lindstrom commented, "It's really tough to get an advantage on the competition in the 250 class. We need to improve our starts, but we're getting closer. Jo showed that today."

Unfortunately, Chance Hymas was unable to perform at his usual level due to illness, finishing 11th overall. The team believes in his potential to contend for top positions and is focusing on his recovery and preparation for upcoming rounds.

Honda HRC Progressive carries this positive momentum, with victories in both classes, into the next round at High Point. Jett is expected to carry the red plate into the event.
