Bridgestonehas announced thatwill launch theBATTLAX RACING STREET RS12, a premium sport tire for motorcycles, in Japan in February 2026. As the successor to the current RS11,this tire offers the highest dry grip performance ofany BATTLAX tire for general public roads.

Lap times have been reduced by 0.7% from the previous model, RS11.

By building on the technology that has won in two-wheel endurance racing, the BATRAX Racing Street RS12 improvesdry grip and other aspects of circuit driving performance in all directionsand significantly reduces lap times compared to the previous product, the RS11. It is said to have the highest dry grip among the BATRAX series that can be driven on public roads. The compound, pattern design, andstructure have been completely redesignedtosuppress thedecline in grip performance even after repeated laps on the circuit. This allows for sporty driving on dry surfaces andperformance in a wide range of situations from winding roads to circuits. The main technologies incorporated are as follows: 1. Compound Compound: A compound developed based on technology cultivated in the development of racing tires is installed.Newly designed pattern with an optimized groove ratio, whichoptimizestire rigidity and expands the ground contact area during cornering, resulting insuperior grip.3.New structureFor the front tire, the newHE-MS BELTstructure, which has been used in the world's most prestigious races,is adopted for the first time as a production tire for theBATTLAX.The highly elastic belt equalizes the tire's contact pressure andcontributes to further enhanced grip. As a result of the above changes, the new tire outperforms the RS11 in every aspect of circuit driving performance, with significantly shorter lap times and reduced loss of grip even after a number of laps.

It is available in one size for the front and three sizes for the rear. The product is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in February next year.
