Central London Immersed in MotoGP! The Full Picture of the Grand Pre-Event Gala to Energize the British Grand Prix
The MotoGP, the world's premier motorcycle road racing championship, will hold a large-scale official pre-event on August 6th, the day before the start of the '12th British Grand Prix' at Silverstone Circuit, at the 'Outernet' in central London. Following the success of the Dutch GP public viewing event, which attracted over 20,000 attendees, London will once again be enveloped in the excitement of MotoGP.
This event will feature the official pre-event press conference for the British Grand Prix, held in public for the first time at the Outernet. Riders such as Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia Racing, local British hero Cal Crutchlow of Castrol Honda LCR, and Pedro Acosta of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing are scheduled to appear, discussing their aspirations for the weekend's race and their rivalries.
In addition to rider talk shows, the venue will offer various attractions for fans to immerse themselves in the world of MotoGP. Latest racing machines from the five participating manufacturers – Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, KTM, and Yamaha – will be on display, along with the 'Champions Tower' trophy, engraved with the names of past champions, which will also be specially exhibited.
Furthermore, a special video titled 'Do Not Blink,' synchronized with the Silverstone Circuit's lap record of 1 minute 57 seconds, will be screened on the Outernet's massive digital screen. This immersive video, offering a sensation of speeding through the streets of London from a rider's perspective, will also be streamed on social media, further heightening the excitement of the entire event.
'Closer to Fans and Media': Marketing Director Expresses Expectations for the British Grand Prix
Kelly Britten, Managing Director of Global Marketing for MotoGP Group, shared her expectations for the event in London:
"The response to our previous event at the Outernet proved the high level of interest in MotoGP in the UK. Holding the official press conference for the British Grand Prix in the heart of London is a significant step towards our goal of making the sport more accessible and bringing fans and media closer to the excitement of the race."
"With the participation of top riders like Marco Bezzecchi and Pedro Acosta, the presence of racing machines from all five manufacturers, interactive content, and the World Championship trophy all gathered in one place, it will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the start of the British Grand Prix week with both new and existing fans."
The event will begin with media activities and the official press conference at 10:00 AM BST (British Summer Time), and will be open to the public free of charge from 2:00 PM. Additionally, a charity auction will be held in conjunction with the event, featuring items such as exclusive paddock passes and invitations to the awards ceremony.
