He was also drawn to the classic, refined color scheme of this special edition model, which features the livery of the 1982 championship-winning machine. Another deciding factor was that this bike is commonly used as a learner motorcycle, making it an ideal choice for a first bike. Despite its large displacement, it doesn't feel oversized in the city and handles low speeds smoothly, which is rare for a big-bike.

This bike was originally fitted with an RPM silencer, but the owner replaced it with a shorter version of the same model. The new silencer increased volume by about 30% while enhancing the low-end tones. At over 5,000 rpm, the sound becomes sharper, but the deep bass remains at its core. The shorter design also gives the bike a sportier look.

When upgrading the rear setup, he seized the chance to switch from DUNLOP TT100GP tires to PIRELLI DIABLO ROSSO IV CORSA. While the DUNLOPs had a cool, classic appeal, the sleek tread pattern of the PIRELLIs is simply too irresistible. As a fan of classic bikes, the owner also installed KIJIMA Classic Grips to give the bike a more authentic retro feel. The thicker, non-slip grips improved throttle control and made operation smoother.

One ongoing challenge is managing oil temperature, a common issue with air-cooled engines. The owner chose a 10-row ACTIVE Oil Cooler Kit for its looks, but in heavy traffic, the temperature can exceed 130°C. To manage this, he turns off the engine at long red lights and keeps a close eye on the oil temperature gauge while riding.
