Ducati has unveiled the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera, which strengthens the Hypermotard single-cylinder lineup. Named Nera, meaning "black," this special edition model features an eye-catching total black color scheme, Ducati Quickshift (DQS), and a certified Termignoni silencer. Pricing and release date have not yet been announced.

Aggressive, exclusive colors stand out in black and red

The "Nera" comes in an exclusive color combination of black and red. The black color dominates the entire design, creating an aggressive appearance that contrasts strongly with the intense red accents. Ducati Red wheels and frame further emphasize the theme of power and performance. The rear section is further enhanced by certified Termignoni steel silencers with black finish and red details.

Best-in-class single-cylinder Superquadro Mono engine

The engine is the Superquadro Mono engine, developed from the 1299 Panigale twin engine, with 116 mm pistons, combustion chambers, titanium intake valves, steel exhaust valves, and the same desmodromic valve mechanism used in MotoGP. The engine is equipped with a 116mm piston, titanium intake valves, steel exhaust valves, and the desmodromic valve mechanism used in MotoGP. The result is a maximum output of 77.5 hp and a maximum rpm of 10,250 rpm, benchmark figures in the category.

Lightweight chassis and extensive electronic control package

The compact and lightweight design achieves an equipment weight of 151 kg, excluding fuel. It has a variable-section, variable-wall-thickness trellis frame, cast wheels with aluminum flange brake discs, and a lightweight, minimalist, double-sided swingarm. On the electronic side, the system used on the Panigale V4 has been optimized to include Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and Ducati Quickshift (DQS) up/down as standard. A specially configured cornering ABS with slide-by-brake function also allows for controlled drifting on the track. In addition, when fitted with the circuit-specific racing Termignoni exhaust, which increases power output by 7 hp, an additional control called "wheelie assist" is enabled, a feature that allows the rider to maintain a wheelie for extended periods of time.
