MotoGP Class Continues to be Without Champion Marc Marquez and Nicolo Braga from WSBK [MotoGP Round 21, Portugal] Preview
The Portuguese GP, the 21st round of MotoGP, will be held this weekend at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, also known as Portimao Circuit, located in the Algarve region, the southernmost resort in Portugal. It has a total length of 4.59 km, a maximum straight of 970 m, 9 right-hand corners, and 6 left-hand corners. The MotoGP class will be without champion Marc Marquez (Ducati), last year's champion Jorge Martín, and Maverick Viñales (KTM). Substituting for Marc Marquez in this year's competition will be Nicolo Braga (Ducati), who finished 2nd in the ranking from WSBK, where his season ended. Lorenzo Salvadori (Aprilia) and Pol Esparogallo (KTM) will continue as substitutes. In the Malaysian GP, Alex Marquez (Ducati) confirmed his second place in the annual ranking with a race win, the first ever one-two for annual point siblings. The battle for third place in the annual point standings is now between Marco Besecki (APRILIA) 291 and Francesco Bagnaja (DUCATI) 286, five points behind.
