This project features a bike that caught our eye from the MY BIKE section of the Webike Community. This time, we're featuring the DUCATI "Scrambler Sixty2," owned by "gtc."

The "Scrambler Sixty2" is the 400cc model in Ducati's "Scrambler" series that can be ridden with a regular motorcycle license. Paying homage to the company's historic model released in 1962, this model has been rebuilt as a modern street bike and is equipped with an air-cooled L-twin engine.

It balances Ducati's characteristic engine feel with agile handling, creating a package that is approachable for both beginners and experienced riders. As production has now ended, it continues to attract attention in the used market for its rarity and potential as a custom base.

gtc chose this bike because they were drawn to its unique look that stands out from the crowd and its nimble performance, which they felt even after switching from their previous motorcycle. They enjoy it as a daily companion, appreciating it as a rare option to experience the distinctive "thumping" engine feel of a Ducati in the mid-size class.

■Reason for Purchase, Usage, Comparison Bikes

Because it's unique. Because it's cool. Because it's lighter and more powerful than my previous Steed. This is about the only mid-size bike with a thumping twin-cylinder engine.

■Strengths

Looks. Performance. Sound.

■Weaknesses

Difficult to turn. Many various breakdowns. Muffler, battery, clogged injectors.

■Advice for Future Buyers

Since you can't buy it new, get one that's as new as possible. Also, even if it takes a lot of time and money, it's best to have the delivery inspection done thoroughly. I'm having trouble with three issues within two months of delivery. It's not to the point where parts need to be ordered, but it's stressful when the engine won't start.

For now, whether to go with a Termignoni or a Mivv muffler.
