Yoshimura has released the “X-TREAD” Footpeg Kit for the Z900RS/CAFE! With 4-position adjustability, it takes your riding to the next level.

Yoshimura Japan has released the “X-TREAD” footpeg kit for the neo-retro sports bike “Z900RS/CAFE.” Designed after extensive testing, the heel plates and four-position adjustment system enhance the bike’s styling while ensuring the rider’s intentions are directly transmitted to the machine.

“X-TREAD”: Blending the Z900RS/CAFE’s Styling and Riding Performance

The Z900RS/CAFE, a highly popular neo-retro sport bike, is known for its styling and high-performance handling made possible by the latest technology. The “X-TREAD” footrest kit recently released by Yoshimura follows the concept of this motorcycle and features a design that pays meticulous attention to every detail.

The heel plate design, refined through extensive testing, not only enhances the Z900RS/CAFE’s styling but also prioritizes maneuverability by minimizing the risk of riding boots getting caught. Furthermore, the carefully selected shapes and materials of the components ensure that the rider’s intentions are directly conveyed to the machine in a wide range of riding scenarios.

It is designed for standard gear shifting and is compatible with ABS and brake switches. It also supports quick shifters, making it ideal for enjoying sport riding to the fullest.

4-position adjustment and high-quality materials and design

One of the key features of the “X-TREAD” is its 4-position adjustment capability. This allows riders to select the optimal position based on their body type and riding style.Specifically, in the BACK UP position, riders can choose from four settings: 1: 45 mm/40 mm, 2: 45 mm/55 mm, 3: 57.5 mm/40 mm, and 4: 57.5 mm/55 mm.

The step bars feature a more complex machining process than standard knurling, allowing movements such as weight transfer and weight release to be transmitted directly to the bike. The pedal tips are made of rubber to prevent slipping and ensure reliable control. The pedal bar position can be adjusted to three positions on the shift side and two positions on the brake side.

In terms of design, the set features a three-sided heel plate that pays homage to the Yoshimura GSX-R1000 racer. Like genuine racing parts, it incorporates weight-saving cutouts to reduce weight.The pedals feature a “Slate Gray” anodized finish that exudes a premium presence, and a serial number is laser-marked as a mark of high performance and quality.

The main material is an aluminum alloy of the grade used in aerospace equipment. The footpegs are made of a special aluminum alloy that breaks easily in the event of a crash, thereby reducing damage to the base plate and frame. Replacement parts are available in the unlikely event of damage, and the product comes with a one-year warranty.

The heel plate is designed with a shape that balances the strength needed to withstand a firm grip with maneuverability that prevents riding boots from catching.
