The choice of not relying on a good condition. Toresol Moto has pursued the "fineness" based on a vehicle that was sleeping in a warehouse. This time, we would like to introduce the HONDA GB250 CLUBMAN that was displayed at the YOKOHAMA HOT ROD CUSTOM SHOW 2025.

What is the GB250 CLUBMAN?

The GB250 CLUBMAN is an air-cooled, single-cylinder 250cc model launched by Honda in 1983. It combines classic styling reminiscent of British cars with the high reliability typical of Honda, and has been favored by riders who value "rideability" and "appearance" over flamboyance. The slender chassis and simple configuration are highly finished, yet there is still room for the creator's ideas. The GB250 CLUBMAN has been loved for a long time because it is not limited in style, such as a café racer or a trucker. However, in many cases, the customization process starts with an "ideal base vehicle" in good condition. Toresol Moto chose a different starting point.

A vehicle born from a GB250 that was sleeping in a warehouse

At the YOKOHAMA HOT ROD CUSTOM SHOW, this GB250 CLUBMAN naturally caught the eye without resorting to showiness, and was built by Toresol Moto, a company that has focused on customizing air-cooled BMWs such as the BMW R100RS. The base vehicle was a Clubman that happened to be stored in a warehouse and had been sleeping for many years. The customization started with the question, "How much can we improve the quality of the car with the existing materials? The limitations of the customization process make it a test of the builder's sense and skill. This GB250 is the result of accepting these conditions in a positive manner. The question was, "How far can we go with the materials we already have to achieve perfection?

Board-trucker style reproduced in Clubman

The goal was to recreate the board-trucker style of yesteryear on the GB250 CLUBMAN. The clear concept that was set forth to achieve this was "just make it thinner. The original hardtail frame was the core of the design, and combined with the one-off original tank, the overall volume of the chassis was thoroughly trimmed down. The frame line and air-cooled single-cylinder engine naturally stand out, creating a silhouette where GB250's original lightness and board tracker-like tension coexist.

Looking at it from the front... you'll be surprised at how slender it is!

The frame was created to thoroughly reduce the overall volume of the vehicle

The one-off tank is beautiful in its own right... and accentuates its slenderness

A light balance created by different parts

The front suspension uses parts from the TL125 and is equipped with a mini drum brake. While emphasizing the classical atmosphere, the overall balance is surprisingly light. Every single choice...everything is directly related to the concept of "slimness," resulting in a high sense of unity.

Viewed from behind at an angle, it looks... like a bicycle? It's so thin and light that you'd think it was a bicycle

While it feels light and nimble, it is also well-balanced when a person straddles it!

Toresol Moto's aesthetics captivated by the feel of the material

The unique muffler made of sliced stainless steel is one of the symbolic points of this vehicle. The technique of expressing individuality through the materials themselves and ideas, rather than relying on decoration, is a direct reflection of Toresol Moto's sensibility cultivated with air-cooled BMWs. Not too much work. But no compromises either. The GB250, which had been sitting in a warehouse, was sharpened to this level through thought and technology. This one quietly tells the story of that process. Instagram "Single Cylinder for Everyone" https://www.instagram.com/minnano_tankito
