New wheels from DOREMI COLLECTION x DYMAG for an even classier Z900RS!

At the recently held "Taste of Tsukuba" racing event, we came across the booth for DOREMI COLLECTION, a brand which manufactures and sells parts for classic bikes such as the Kawasaki Z series. On display there was a Z900RS equipped with "CH3A" wheels, created in collaboration with DYMAG, which were just released this February.

DYMAG gold wheels give the Z900RS a more luxurious look!

Actually, we previously published an article about a Z900RS equipped with CH3A wheels. However, that Z900RS was also equipped with the "Lawson Style" Exterior Kit made by DOREMI COLLECTION. This is the first time we've shown a stock style Z900RS with these wheels. Additionally, in the previous article the wheels were black and this time they are gold. Unlike the concept of the Lawson Style, which is to make the bike look like it's actually a vintage, this Z900RS is put together in a modern neo-retro style with a sense of luxury.

The classic "CH3" wheel reborn

The CH3A presented here is a remake of the CH3 originally sold by DYMAG since the 1970s. It combines the same weight and strength as the CH3, which was a cast magnesium wheel, but is now available in forged aluminum using today's technology. Incidentally, it has passed the JWL test (a strength test for light alloy wheels). The traditional design reminiscent of the wheels of yesteryear is also a plus.

The collaboration between DYMAG and DOREMI COLLECTION was first announced at the 2023 Tokyo Motorcycle Show. The two joined forces to create wheels that have never been seen before, and the CH3A is their first release. The 7-spoke "UP7X" was also announced at the same time, and is a lightweight wheel designed specifically for racing. This aluminum wheel is used in the British Superbike Championship and the Isle of Man TT, and is 7% lighter than the CH3A.

Titanium tank for the GPZ900R coming soon?

Speaking of DOREMI COLLECTION, it is still fresh in our minds that they unveiled a titanium tank for the Ninja GPZ900R at this year's motorcycle show. Titanium is not only lighter than steel, but also twice as hard, making it an ideal material for motorcycle parts. However, it is also difficult to manufacture consistently, and the complex shape of a tank makes it an unsuitable material for mass production. But now, DOREMI COLLECTION has made it possible to produce such titanium tanks. The titanium tank for the GPZ900R was also on display at Taste of Tsukuba. Although the price and specific release date are still unknown, we are hoping that it will be released this year, as it is the company's 40th anniversary year.
