The new design realizes nimble and straightforward handling from low speeds to high speeds. The suspension is equipped with the conventional SFF-BP front forks, and SPORTMAX Q5A tires have been newly adopted as standard tires to achieve both long life and sport performance. The "SUGOMI" design concept, which is inspired by the image of a "predator on the prowl," has been retained in the design, with a lower front face and a redesigned body shape with sharp lines. LED headlights without reflectors and a cockpit with a new 5-inch TFT meter strengthened the high-mech image.

The design follows the conventional SUGOMI, but with a lower position for a more intimidating appearance.

The switch box has been redesigned to accommodate the new Riding Mode Control.

The higher-end Z1100 SE model is equipped with Brembo front brakes and Öhlins rear shocks.
