Honda's CB1000F was probably the most widely displayed vehicle at the 2026 Tokyo Motorcycle Show. Many parts makers exhibited CB1000F demo vehicles, and there were quite a few parts installed, including those under development, which shows the high level of attention paid to the CB. Here we will introduce the CB1000F exhibited by each manufacturer, so please use them as reference for your customization.
Table of Contents
Daytona
Daytona produces everything related to motorcycle life, from custom parts to bags and clothing. Especially when it comes to custom parts, Daytona boasts a wide lineup of products, with many of them being released one after another for the CB1000F. The CB1000F on display at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show incorporated many parts, including those currently under development. Looking at the cockpit area, the first thing that catches the eye is the Dual Meter Look Cover, which can be attached to the stock meter to make it look like a twin-lens meter. The steering wheel also incorporates a separate steering wheel-style road steering system, giving the vehicle a sporty image. The tail cowl and front fender are made of FRP with an old CB-F style design, and the body is painted with original graphics reminiscent of the old CB-F series. The steps and oil filler cap are made of "Premiam Zone" billet aluminum, and a fenderless kit and lowered link rods are also incorporated.
Active.
Active is a company that releases high-performance custom parts such as Gale Speed and Hyper Pro. The CB1000F displayed by Active at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show was customized mainly around the chassis, including wheels, brakes, swingarm, and suspension. The wheels are forged Gailspeed Type-J wheels, and the suspension is a set of "Street Boxes" front and rear. The brake calipers are Gailspeed billets front and rear, with 4-pot front and 2-pot rear. The brake rotors are also Gale Speed, with cross-locked disc rotors in the front and monofloating disc rotors in the rear. The handlebars are separate with a convertible stem kit, and combined with the back step, they create a sporty position. Performance dampers, a subframe, and a mouth-shaped swingarm were also incorporated to create a street-legal custom design with improved mobility.
Over Racing Projects, Inc.
Over Racing Projects, a well-known racing constructor based in Suzuka, is currently developing custom parts for the CB1000F. Most of the parts incorporated into the CB1000F exhibited at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show were either reference exhibits or planned for development, but will be released in due course. The handlebars are fitted with a sport riding handlebar kit that allows the entire top bridge to be changed to a separate handlebar, and combined with a backstep kit, creates a sporty position. An aluminum subframe is built into the side of the engine, and the swingarm has been changed to a TYPE10 swingarm with stabilizer to strengthen the chassis. A TT-Formula RS+PRO 4-2-1 exhaust system was chosen, along with GP-XX wheels and OVER x NITRON rear shocks.
Proto.
Proto is an importer of parts made overseas, such as Brembo and Akrapovic, and also develops parts under its own brand. The CB1000F that Proto has created is the "CB-F BOL D'OR 2," a CB750FC Integra upper cowl that has been modified and installed. The tightly fitted cowl and the body painted in red and white Boldor colors are so well matched that one could almost believe that it is a genuine CB1000F. The brake calipers are Brembo front and rear, 484 Cafe Racer front and GP2-CR rear, and all brake hoses are Proto Swageline. The handlebars are Efex Easy Fit Bar Plus, which are slightly more compact than the stock bars, the seat is a lowered seat with Gelzab, and the steps are a combination of Baby Face x Proto's Performance Step Kit. In addition, the position and footing have been improved by incorporating a low-down kit. Other parts include an Akrapovic Slip-Online Carbon exhaust system, Ohlins BASIC front upright fork combi and TTX rear shock for suspension, and other top-notch parts from around the world.
Another CB1000F exhibited by Proto was equipped with an F-X low-down kit, allowing visitors to actually straddle the bike and check its stability. The low-down kit lowers the seat height by 20mm, and when combined with the low-down seat, the footing is further improved. F-X's lowered kit is designed so that the performance is not spoiled by lowering the vehicle height, and it is possible to achieve both "fun" and "desire to drive" at the same time. A special short side stand is also available because the stock stand will cause the vehicle to stand up too much as the ride height is lowered. In addition, the back step, which allows the user to change the position of the handlebar and step, can be combined to create a position more suited to the rider's body, thereby increasing ease of handling.
Vehicles with the lowered kit installed were actually available for visitors to straddle and try out.
Baby Face
Baby Face, a company that develops a variety of original parts, displayed at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show a CB1000F that incorporates machined aluminum parts, a specialty of the company. The CB1000F was painted in a bold color scheme of gunmetal with pink lines, and all the machined aluminum parts were anodized in gold to show off its presence. From relatively small parts such as the headlight plate and racing hooks to larger parts such as the performance step kit and chain guard, all parts are made with high quality and are very effective as dress-up parts as well as practical. Other parts such as engine sliders, frame sliders, and axle protectors that protect the vehicle in the event of a fall, as well as a titanium radiator core guard made of titanium, enhance the overall quality of the product.
Yoshimura Japan
Yoshimura Japan, a company with a strong Suzuki image, is also developing parts for the CB1000F. The CB1000F is equipped with the "Racing Cyclone," a full exhaust system in the so-called old-fashioned short-tube style, to evoke the image of racers of yesteryear. The paint job by Woodeye Design was also done in a manner reminiscent of the Yoshimura racers of the past, while utilizing the design of the CB. The radiator core protector with the Yoshimura logo, PRO SHIELD clutch cover and slider, brake lever guard, PRO-GRESS1 balance bolt meter, step kit, racing option stay, and other Yoshimura quality parts were incorporated to complete the look. The completion is enhanced by the incorporation of Yoshimura quality parts in every part of the bike.
Doremi Collection
Doremi Collection reproduces legendary models based on the latest models with retro-style exterior parts. The CB1000F that the company displayed at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show was based on the CB900F superbike racer driven by Freddie Spencer. The coloring is, of course, Spencer colors, and the bike is fitted with original front fenders, side covers, and tail cowl tailored in the style of the old CB-F. The tail light is also in the old CB-F style, but it is a cover that fits over the factory taillight. The engine cover is also a prototype of the Spencer model with the AHM (American Honda Motor) logo, and Dremi's signature faux twin shocks are installed at the rear for a two-suspension look. The suspension system is a perfect replica of the Spencer specs, complete with authentic Dymag H-section wheels. The exhaust system is also made of stainless steel in the motif of the so-called "Velasco tube" and will be perfect when blacked out.
