Unique oil-cooled engine and sophisticated styling

The Gixxer 250 series is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine that uses Suzuki's unique SOCS (Suzuki Oil Cooling System) oil-cooling system, which utilizes engine oil as a cooling medium. This power unit achieves efficient cooling by installing oil passages around the periphery of the combustion chamber, and delivers powerful acceleration performance with maximum output of 26 kW and maximum torque of 2.2 kgf-m, as well as excellent fuel economy of 44.5 km/L (at 60 km/h constant).

The naked model Gixxer 250 is equipped with a compact, thin LED headlamp for nimble handling. In contrast, the full-cowl Gixxer SF250 has a sporty silhouette with a forward leaning design and a wide LED headlamp. Both models have voluminous fuel tanks, front and rear split seats, and swingarm-mounted rear fenders, giving them a presence beyond their class.

In terms of functionality, the new models inherit the convenience features of the Suzuki Easy Start system, which allows one-push starting, and a full-digital LCD meter with an RPM indicator for shift timing. The suspension features 41mm-diameter front forks and a rear suspension with seven levels of preload adjustment, while front and rear disc brakes with ABS as standard equipment provide reliable stopping power.
