Next-generation crossover evolves with long-awaited winglet equipment and advanced electronically controlled suspension
Equipped with the high-performance engine from the GSX-S1000 series, this model combines the fun of sport riding with the comfort of touring, and the new changes make it even more appealing. The biggest topic is the new winglets, which dramatically improve straight-line stability at high speeds. The addition of aerodynamic performance-enhancing parts to the modern styling, which combines an aggressive exterior silhouette with an upright riding posture, is expected to reduce fatigue during long-distance travel. The suspension system continues to feature Suzuki Advanced Electronic Suspension (SAES), which electronically controls suspension damping and preload according to speed and road conditions. Suzuki Road Adaptive Stabilization (SRAS), a proprietary program that combines this system with IMU data that detects vehicle attitude, is also standard equipment. The system automatically switches suspension control when it detects uneven surfaces on unpaved roads, achieving a high degree of balance between a smooth ride with minimal vibration on rough surfaces and a powerful sporty ride on on-road roads.
Also, as a convenience unique to the Japan-exclusive model, an ETC2.0 on-board unit, essential for touring, is included as standard. 6.5-inch full-color TFT multi-information display with a USB socket and smartphone connectivity is also provided. The extensive equipment package will strongly support riders on their journeys.
New body colors and a variety of intelligent ride systems provide unparalleled driving performance.
The coloring, which determines the impression of the exterior, has been renewed to a total of three colors. Brilliant White/Triton Blue Metallic," a combination of white and blue that accentuates the sporty impression, the chic "Glass Matte Mechanical Gray," and the dignified "Glass Sparkle Black. In addition, the new model meets the monitoring requirements of OBD-II, an on-board diagnostic monitoring system, and is newly adapted to E10 gasoline. Another highlight is the enhanced electronic control system, called the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System. The SDMS-a, which integrates and manages power output characteristics, traction control, and suspension damping settings, enables high performance in any situation and on any road surface. It is also equipped with a motion track braking system that can activate ABS even when the vehicle is leaning, such as when entering a corner, to assist the rider in safely tracing the intended line of movement. The electronically controlled suspension incorporates an automatic rear suspension mode, which automatically adjusts not only the rear preload but also the amount of damping if the auto setting is selected. Slope Dependent Control, which prevents the rear tires from lifting when braking downhill, is another important safety feature. The Suzuki Easy Start system, which allows the engine to be started easily with a single push, and a windscreen that can be adjusted to three different heights, are just a few of the features that have been considered in every detail to ensure user-friendliness.
Other features include a two-way quick-shift system that allows shifting without operating the clutch or throttle. Low RPM assist, which mitigates engine rpm drop during startup and at low speeds, is also employed, giving it easy-to-manage characteristics for a wide range of situations, from everyday city riding to long-distance grand touring. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is 2,112,000 yen including 10% consumption tax, and the model will go on sale on April 23, 2026.
