3/18 Appearance: New Kawasaki 400 Engine? Bimota releases a teaser video of the new model

Bimota has released a teaser video on social networking sites for a new model that will appear on March 18. Judging from the black-painted silhouette revealed in the dozens of seconds of video distributed, it seems likely that the vehicle will be based on Kawasaki's ZX-4R or ZX-25R. Expectations are high for the birth of a Bimota that can be ridden with a regular motorcycle license!

Unique design? A premium mid-size sports proposal?

In the 25-second video clip, the words "ESPRESSO DI BIMOTA 18/3/2026" appear along with the silhouette of the bike, the entire image of which is hidden by black paint. A closer look at the shape of the fuel tank and the distinctive molding around the wheels shown in the video suggests that the model is most likely based on the ZX-4R or ZX-25R (or possibly both?). On the one hand, the ZX-4R is a very similar model to the ZX-25R.On the other hand, the inverted slant-shaped upper cowl and small seat cowl are of a unique design that differs from the ZX-4R/25R, which are believed to be the base model. In addition, the silencer also appears to have a pointed tip that is different from the two vehicles.The Italian word "espresso" means "express" or "special," as well as "rich coffee extracted at high pressure. The catchphrase "ESPRESSO DI BIMOTA" suggests that this is a special and fast car that makes use of the base car's body and engine while infusing it with the rich flavor and design typical of Bimota.

The ZX-4R is the real target. Is a 250cc model also possible?

Considering the premium Bimota brand image, it is highly likely that the base model will be the ZX-4R, the "most powerful Yonhyoke" with 77 hp. However, a closer inspection of the silhouette reveals that the front brake disc appears to be single and the driven sprocket appears to be larger than the rear brake disc.If this is realistic, could we be looking at the birth of a ZX-25R-based "250cc Bimota"? Regardless of the base model, there is a strong possibility that a ZX-25R beemotorized vehicle will be born that can be ridden with a standard motorcycle license.The first public announcement of the new model was made on March 18, just two days before the opening of the Osaka Motorcycle Show. Given this exquisite public schedule, it is possible that Kawasaki, the parent company of Bimota, will make some kind of announcement regarding this vehicle.
