Webike's Opinion
Here is a "YAMAHA BOLT" custom by Webike community user "Moca". The owner originally wanted an air-cooled V-twin bobber or cruiser and had been considering imported models. However, the new bike he had his eye on was completely sold out, and with rising prices in the used market, he had to give up on other options. The BOLT had been on his radar for a while, so he rented one for a half-day test ride. After two months of careful deliberation, he finally decided to buy a brand-new one.
There are plenty of things he loves about the BOLT. Its bobber-meets-neo-classic styling, the low center of gravity that makes it surprisingly easy to handle at intersections, and the smooth cornering on winding roads. Then there’s the pulsing rhythm of the V-twin engine, the satisfying exhaust note, and the beautifully shaped fuel tank. Even the loud "click-clack" when shifting gears adds to the sense of control—it’s all part of the bike’s charm.
Wanting a deeper, more powerful exhaust note, he decided to install a KIJIMA Slip-On Exhaust, a brand he trusts. The beefier low-end rumble made riding the BOLT even more enjoyable. He also replaced the stock engine and crankcase covers with KIJIMA Dress-Up Covers, as he felt the originals looked a bit underwhelming. The upper design of the BOLT’s V-twin engine is stunning, which only made the stock covers look out of place. The KIJIMA covers are well-crafted, with a clean finish even on the underside. While not an exact color match with the engine, they blend in nicely.
Seeing that many fellow BOLT riders were using KIJIMA Step-Up Brackets to raise their footpegs, he decided to give them a try. In the early days of owning the bike, he frequently scraped the pegs. Though he later adjusted his riding style to avoid it, installing the brackets and switching to shorter Neofactory footpegs eliminated the issue completely. With the pegs now positioned higher, he no longer has to worry about scraping them, making for a more relaxed and natural ride.
